Chelsea Handler visits Whistler to appropriately celebrate 45 years with a drink in one hand and a joint in the other

Chelsea Handler had some fun in B.C. last week. The comedian and cannabis enthusiast shared a video from Whistler in which she hits the slopes with Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day” playing in the background.

One can’t help but notice that a pair of pants is missing from Handler’s snow gear. The video is also catching comments for what Handler did choose to bring onto the mountain. As she skis down what looks to be a lower section of Blackcomb, there’s a joint in one hand and a cocktail in the other.

“Skiing into 45 with my margarita, my marijuana, and my mountain!” her caption reads, followed by the hashtags “#whoneedspants” and #birthdaysuit”.

A couple of other photos shared in the same post suggest that cocktail was a gin and tonic or maybe a vodka lime.

The Los Angeles resident has kept busy with her career these last few years. Projects of note include the 2016-17 Netflix talk show Chelsea, the 2019 book Life Will Be the Death of Me: . . . And You Too!, and the 2019 documentary Hello Privilege. It's Me, Chelsea, among others.

The photo from Handler’s 45th birthday celebration has attracted well wishes from plenty of celebrity friends.

“I really can’t handle my love for you,” Gwyneth Paltrow wrote in the comments section.

Kate Hudson replied to say she was “feeling left out”. And Courteney Cox wrote “You go Chelsea!”

Another photograph from Handler’s time in Whistler shares her excitement over finding an orange.

“If that isn’t a sign from my brother or mama, I don’t know what is,” the caption there reads. “That’s my sign! My friend spotted it and we skied right over for some vitamin c and to give them both a kiss.”

If that doesn’t make a lot of sense, a third social-media post from Handler’s B.C. birthday vacation might clear things up. In this one, she smokes weed through a cupcake, which looks like it does actually work as a bong, but, in answer to her question, no, is not a bong.
