Expert Edibles: Laurie Wolf’s infused mashed cauliflower

Award-winning cannabis cookbook author shares an easy alternative to a traditional potato dish

This is a healthy and medicated substitute to the classic mashed potatoes side dish. Ahead of time, prepare, clearly label, and store cannabis butter in your fridge to make cooking with infused ingredients simple!


  • Instant pressure cooker pot
  • Sharp knife
  • 1 cup of cauliflower
  • Steamer
  • Cannabis Butter
  • Salt and pepper


  • Prepare steamer by adding water [Tip: You can toss a few cannabis stems in the water after grinding them for extra potency and cannabis flavour]
  • Wash and chop cauliflower, then add to the steamer or steam with a covered strainer over a pot of boiling water
  • After three to five minutes in a steamer, remove cauliflower and drain out the water
  • Mix in cannabis butter and season with salt and pepper, as per your liking
  • Pour an immersion blender and pulse, stopping to mix in circular motions to ensure a smooth texture (stop when the desired consistency is achieved)
  • Serve with bread and cannabis butter on the side

This recipe is best served as a side dish and should not take any more than 20-minutes to prepare. Enjoy!
